Jason and I got a good report this morning from Emma's nurse. She had to have a few adjustments made to her medicine and ventilator, but once her happy spot was found she was a relaxed little girl. Jason and I went back first thing this morning and talked and loved on our precious baby girl. We love that we can tell that she knows we are near her and talking to her. It brings such joy to our hearts. We spend our nights sleeping at the Ronald McDonald House (save your pop tabs and donate them) and then our days in the waiting room and back by Emma's bedside. During this entire experience we have been able to see God's strength and love for Emma and our family. Please continue with your prayers for Emma and our family - the power of prayer is a wonderful thing.
Check back later for pictures and another update at the end of the day.
Surgery is still scheduled for Wednesday April 7th. Emma has an amazing team of doctors, nurses, and surgeons here at UVA. We will forever be grateful to UVA, the UVA NICU, and the Ronald McDonald House.
